Solar Thermal Group

The ANU Solar Thermal Group conducts Research and Development activities that contribute to progress on conversion of Solar Energy using flat-plate, non-concentrating systems as well as mirrored, concentrating systems. Our activities are accordingly roughly split into low-temperature and high-temperature areas. To learn more about our activities follow the links in the menu.

If you are a member of the public with a general interest in solar technology we recommend you contact and consider joining, the Australian Solar Energy Society, www.auses.org.au

If you represent an organization with a serious interest in partnership in our work or you are interested in postgraduate study or collaborative research please contact us directly.

Visitors, please see our location map.

High-temperature systems

The high-temperature sub-group works on dish and trough concentrators and thermochemical energy storage and other related projects.

Contact Dr John Pye.

Low-temperature systems

The low temperature sub-group works on solar air heaters, phase-change energy storage, eject-based solar air-conditioning, and other related projects.

Contact Dr Mike Dennis.
